Descrição: Esqueça os atletas, os astros do cinema e os políticos. Os verdadeiros heróis são os pais mas achamos que Frankie Heck deve ser uma super-heroína. Uma esposa dedicada e mãe de três, ela pertence à classe média, mora no meio do país e está chegando à meia-idade. Frankie e seu marido, Mike, vivem em Orson, na Indiana, desde sempre. Homem de poucas palavras, Mike é o gerente das escavações e Frankie é a terceira melhor vendedora de carros usados em uma empresa com três empregados. Ela pode não ser uma empresária superpoderosas, mas quando o assunto é sua família, ela faz o possível e o impossível. E com filhos assim, geralmente ela tenta o impossível. Temos Axl, seu filho adolescente semi-nudista (concebido ao som de Guns N’ Roses), Sue, a adolescente esquisita que falha em tudo que tenta fazer mas sempre tem a palavra final e Brick, o garoto de sete anos cuja melhor amiga é sua mochila de escola. Às vezes parece que todos estão tentando chegar ao topo (ou lutando para não chegar o fundo do poço), mas acreditamos que Frankie e sua família vão encontrar muito amor e muitas risadas em algum lugar no meio do caminho.
